In a bold address to soldiers at Northern Command in Udhampur, Jammu & Kashmir, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh declared that Operation Sindoor is strong proof that New India is no longer a silent victim of terrorism, but a nation that responds with strength, strategy, and absolute resolve.

“India’s policy on terrorism has fundamentally changed. This transformation is driven by the unmatched courage and dedication of our Armed Forces,” said the Raksha Mantri, while praising the precision, coordination, and bravery of the Armed Forces and intelligence agencies during the successful strikes on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

He described Operation Sindoor not merely as a military operation, but as a clear warning to terrorists and their backers. “India will no longer tolerate acts of terrorism. Any threat to our unity and integrity will be answered firmly,” he said. “Let me be clear — Operation Sindoor is not over. This is just a pause,” he added, sending a direct message to hostile neighbors.

The Defence Minister also spoke about the selfless service of Indian soldiers. “A soldier’s life is one of sacrifice and courage. The nation will forever remain grateful for your devotion to duty and motherland,” he stated.

The address came during a Barakhana event organized on the eve of International Yoga Day 2025. Minister Singh emphasized the importance of physical and mental fitness in a soldier’s life: “If our soldiers are strong, our borders are strong. And when the borders are secure, India stands strong.”

The event also featured vibrant cultural performances, including Khukri Dance, Bhangra, Kalari Payattu, and Jhanz Patak. Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Lt. Gen. Pratik Sharma (Northern Command GOC-in-C), and other senior Army officials were also present at the gathering.
